3 wonderful years

So it has been 3 years since Brett and I got married (well tomorrow). We have grown so much as people and as a couple. He has given me so many things I never thought were possible. I love him so much and I don't know if or when he will read this because he is on a fire and who knows when he will be home, but I love You SO much. I am so very blessed to have you as a husband and father to Degan and any other kids we will have. Our Journey began on New Years Eve 2005, we got engaged on May 14? I never can remember the exact date and then we got married on Aug 5th 2006, bought our first house on August 29th 2008, had our first son on December 19 2008. There are many many more wonderful things to come for us and even though we wont be together on our anniversary this year, I know you are always in my heart. Here are some pictures from our live thus far.

Car Accident

So.. this week has been pretty busy with lots to do. Well.. We went to St.George on Thursday for Brett's doctors appointment and I wanted to just stay the night and go home Friday night after Tammy's Party, but Brett had to WORK again.. so I decided so I could spend more time with him I would just make two trips to St.George. I also had Kenzie with me, and I promised her we could go swimming so Friday we woke up and got ready to go back to St.George. I was trying to gather all our stuff for two kids and then get the dogs (Palmers) stuff together so I could take them back home. We finally got headed out of town a lil before 10. We are just cruising.. ready to go play and have a fun day.. when all of a sudden this tie-down strap comes loose of a truck, ( let me back track just a little. A long time ago on our way to Las Vegas , Tammy was driving and this semi had something come loose from his truck and bounced in the road and right thru our windshield. So I am VERY afraid of semi's and things falling off. I know I over re-act but I just can't help it. ) Ok back to the future well past but the recent. As I see this debris floating in the air I hurry and tried to swerve to miss it but I was going TO fast and starting swerving all over the road and could not get control of the car, all I could think was to slow down try to slow down so you can get better control of the car. Some how in the midst of all the chaous we spun around not sure how many times and then went off the road and hit a linear post. We could of very easily rolled off the edge, but didn't. I know that Heavenly Father was watching out for us. No one was hurt we did not hit another car, and I think I missed the tie-down. No one say what truck it was and he didn't stop but I am just very grateful that the kids were okay and had NO injuries. I of course was panicking and shaking and about crapped my pants. Called brett and thankfully he had not gone out on a fire yet so he came to my rescue and we switched cars and we continued our journey to St.George. We didn't have that much fun the rest of the day but we did make it to TAmmy's Surprise 50th birthday party and had fun. Here is all the damage it did to my car.. We are VERY lucky !

Sleeping on the job

I know you have all heard stories and seen pictures of babies who have fallen asleep while eating. Well tonight was the first time Degan was so tired that he did that. It was so funny. Brett was feeding him and I was finishing my dinner. Degan just kept nodding off, so I got the camera and filmed and took pictures. They aren't the greatest because of the window but you get the idea, and don't mind Brett's voice.. I wanted to keep Degan asleep but couldn't stop laughing so he got mad at me.

4th of JuLy 09

This year we went to Kanab, this will have been my 4th year going over there its our family tradition Brett says. We had alot of fun being with the family. There is just so many of them its crazy and wears you out but we had so much fun. Degan just loves all his cousins and aunts and uncles, and he doesn't even know that they are related yet, it was kind of weird leaving cause we had to take him around and say bye to everyone and im sure next year will be even harder for him. Melinda had decided a few months ago that she wanted to do the 5k but it wasn't a 5k just a "Fun Run" (2.5miles) she had started to prepare and I thought I would just go and walk it with Degan in the stroller well not sure how they convinced me to run it, but I did.. I came in like 4th from last in my division but we finished it in 30 mins. I was pretty proud that I even got up in the morning to do it, but I think that was the start I neeeded now Im gunna work out more here. We went swimming a few times at the new pool, but mainly just hung out with family. We did get a Swapp family picture Im excited to see those. While we were taking them at the "old barn" these people were watching and asked if we were doing a family reunion.. and we said no this is just one family. they were shocked. But since the last one they had, the family grew by 5 grandkids and me the new daughter in law. Fourth of July is such a fun time, and Im very grateful for all the men and women who fought and died for our country so we could have an Independence day.
