I know you have all heard stories and seen pictures of babies who have fallen asleep while eating. Well tonight was the first time Degan was so tired that he did that. It was so funny. Brett was feeding him and I was finishing my dinner. Degan just kept nodding off, so I got the camera and filmed and took pictures. They aren't the greatest because of the window but you get the idea, and don't mind Brett's voice.. I wanted to keep Degan asleep but couldn't stop laughing so he got mad at me.

4th of JuLy 09
This year we went to Kanab, this will have been my 4th year going over there its our family tradition Brett says. We had alot of fun being with the family. There is just so many of them its crazy and wears you out but we had so much fun. Degan just loves all his cousins and aunts and uncles, and he doesn't even know that they are related yet, it was kind of weird leaving cause we had to take him around and say bye to everyone and im sure next year will be even harder for him. Melinda had decided a few months ago that she wanted to do the 5k but it wasn't a 5k just a "Fun Run" (2.5miles) she had started to prepare and I thought I would just go and walk it with Degan in the stroller well not sure how they convinced me to run it, but I did.. I came in like 4th from last in my division but we finished it in 30 mins. I was pretty proud that I even got up in the morning to do it, but I think that was the start I neeeded now Im gunna work out more here. We went swimming a few times at the new pool, but mainly just hung out with family. We did get a Swapp family picture Im excited to see those. While we were taking them at the "old barn" these people were watching and asked if we were doing a family reunion.. and we said no this is just one family. they were shocked. But since the last one they had, the family grew by 5 grandkids and me the new daughter in law. Fourth of July is such a fun time, and Im very grateful for all the men and women who fought and died for our country so we could have an Independence day.

Sewer Boy
This morning Brett came home from his PT and wanted breakfast burritos so I got up to do it. We ate them Degan sat in his bumbo on the table like normal. I remembered I hadn't changed his morning diaper so I picked him up and started to do walk to get a diaper. Swinging him around singing "somebody needs his diaper changed, somebody needs his diaper changed." then I smelled him and he kinda stunk like sewer.. as I went to put him down I felt gross warm poop all over my arm so I started freaking out, dry heaving I gave Degan to Brett to hold until I got the poop off my arms (by this time it was on them both). Bretts of course laughing until he starts dry heaving because it stinks SO bad. I took his clothes off of him and hosed him off in my sink. We have had some blowouts but this one took the cake. It has been 6 months and I haven't ever almost puked while changing his diaper and I thought I was doing good but this morning I wasn't sure I was gunna pull thru. I took a few pictures of the after math I wish I could of caught more of the action but man.. you dont think of those things till after.
Here is also some pictures and a video of Degans best friends.

1st trip to Phoenix and Sand Hollow
So.. this is a late post but I worked pretty much the whole month of June and so I am just now trying to catch up. I give all you moms that work and take care of everything in a timely manner props cause its hard to work full time and do everything. Anyways.. back to Phoenix. We went down to hang out with my aunt (the ones that SPOIL Degan). It all started out that just Degan and I were gunna go but then I wanted my mom to come and so then my grandma decided to come and then since my grandma had been wanting us to put some hard wood floor down for my aunt.My dad then came so we could work. I thought that this trip was going to be one day of work and the rest play and swim and sun and shopping. OH NO! we worked ALL day friday and ALL day saturday. We got the floor in dejunked my aunts house, helped her get a fresh start with her new floors. We had ALOT of laughs and a great time, but man were we happy to be home. Degan did really good in the car I think we only made like three stops on the way down and four on the way home. We did have one emergency stop, Degan was just chillin playing with his toes in his car seat when my mom looked down and there was green slime (feces) coming out of his diaper, we hurried and pulled over and took him out and had to clean him off change his clothes and luckily it didn't get all over his seat. Here are some pics of us playing and the drive home.
Sand Hollow
This was Degans first time to the lake, and I was excited to go. Brett had to work so we just went and met my family and all our friends. The wind was HORRIFIC but we did manage to enjoy ourselfs for a few hours. I didn't think Degan would like it because the water was cold but he sure enjoyed playing with his Grandma.
