Christmas and anything inbetween

My Computer is being gay so these pictures are all out of order.. but oh well..

Christmas was fun this year with 2 kids.. Degan wasn't too sure about Santa Claus but he did understand presents so we bribed him with those for 2 weeks, but it doesn't help his birthday is a week before so he got a present almost everyday for 2 weeks that kid is spoiled and has so many toys.

He is getting better about sharing he doesn't let SaDae have any toy , but he will give her one he doesn't want at that time. He loves his sister and now that she can sit up they play alittle on the floor together. His birthday party was fun we went to fUnTiMe Inflatables, and a few friends came we let the kids play. The afternoon he got a lil sick so he didn't enjoy it as much as he could of but he still had fun.
SaDae now 6mths is just growing up so fast and I hate it. She is definetly a girl if she doesn't like something she will let you know, but she is pretty easy going, unless she isn't but she is a lover and likes to cuddle. She loves to watch her brother dance and move she just giggles and sometimes for no apparent reason at all.
We have had a REALLY busy 2 months. Grams had to have open heart surgery to replace a her mitravalve, and so we were in the hospital with that, and then the week after she got home from the hospital , my mom had rotary cuff surgery. So then I was helping take care of them, and if not down in STG I was up here working. Brett was my saving grace he handled the kids for almost 2 weeks by himself with me peeking in every now and again. I love him and so THANKFUL for all he does, i know he sometimes feels neglected.
WE all hope and pray for a good 2011 and that no more hospitals or surgeries and everything gets better.

Fall Travels

This fall started out crazy and hopefully it is over with.
Family pics before the leaves all fell.

The kids and I went to Texas for 4 days with my mom and grandma for a cousins wedding. We flew and it was so fun. It wasn't much of a vacation but we had good times and the kids enjoyed meeting their relatives for the first time. They got married at this Windmill museum so there were windmills from all over and from so many different time periods.

Then it was halloween and im not a very good mother, Rachel took all the pics so I only have like 2 .. :( Degan was a tiger and SaDae was a kitty. They both didn't mind their costumes, which was nice. Degan never did say trick or treat but he sure knows how to say "candy".

Then last weekend Brett and I am some friends went to Cali for a wedding. It was a quick trip but we had a great time and got to sleep in and with no kids in my bed and not have to worry about diapers or nap time, it sure was nice. I did miss the kids but we all got a well deserved break.

Summer has past

This summer was a really busy one for us. Our precious SaDae joined our family and Brett was busy working with fire and Degan.. well he is ALWAYS busy. We really haven't gone many places other than StG. Our travels begin in late october, so excited.
Degan will be 2 in December and he acts like he is 10 he thinks he knows how to do everything including hold and carry his lil sister. He learns new tricks and things every day. His newest is pushing his trucks up to the fridge to get a drink and drowing himself and the floor in the process.
SaDae is getting so big so fast, she has rolled over and loves to kick on the floor while watching football (with mommy). She is so happy smiles at just about anyone she is almost always happy except when she is mad there really isn't a middle ground with her. She continues to be a good sleeper usually sleeps from 10 to 7 and eats and goes right back down. I am so blessed with her. It will be really soon when she is chasing Degan and causing extra mischief.

SaDae Tatye Swapp

She has ARRIVED!! SaDae was born Monday June 21, 2010 @ 3:55 pm. She was 6lbs 7oz and 18 in long. As most of you know Grandma Brink passed away on Wed June 16th, and I really didn't want to miss the funeral or go into labor during so I was really hoping that I could have the baby soon so I could attend. So Saturday night I went to StG to play and have fun and not sit at home waiting on the way home I started having contractions and thought oh yes this might just be it.. 6 hrs later NOTHING. So I went to bed got up for church and nothing so I went to church and was just so sad I was still pregnant. Sunday night, I thought I gotta do all I can my days are running out to have her and recoupe before the funeral so .. you know.. and about 4 am I starting having some contractions but I wasn't getting my hopes up since the night before I had them for 6 hours and then nothing. They started to get stronger so I kinda got excited I told Brett before he left for work that just maybe I would have this lil girl today. As Im cleaning, going for walks, playing with Degan I got a phone call from my Dr.s office and I thought they were just reminding me of my app the next day, but no.. she was calling to say my that at my last ultrasound the baby's head hadn't grown as much as they were hoping and wanted me to go see a specialist in StG today. I told the nurse that I was having contractions did she really want me to go? She she talked to the Dr and she said nope just come into the office right away so she could check me and see if I was in labor they would just keep it going. So I hang up the phone and start freaking out cause I had planned on having a lil time to make arrangements for Degan and talk to my mom and so I just bawl.. call Brett fill him in tell him to come home. Find a place for Deg to go, then I decided I'd take Deg to Brett and go to the drs to see what was going to happen. I get there they take me right back she checks me says Im a 3 and then proceeds to strip me and says I think we are going to have a baby. She then calls the specialist and asks him what he thinks about the babies head and he says just get her delivered and IF anything is wrong we can deal with it better. Im just crying and Laurie says there could be nothing wrong we just have to be cautious. So she says go down to Labor and Delivery. I get down there and the nurse says we have no rooms right now so your gunna have to wait and if we have to we can put you in a room but we'd rather not. So I got a hot pack on my boobs and just started walking the halls. Luckily my friend Bobbie had her baby that morning so I went and visited her and wasn't SO bored. I waited about an hour n a half for a delivery room by this time my contractions were about 2 min apart and getting VERY intense I was getting nervous I was not gunna get my epidural. I got in my room at about 2:15 pm, hurried and changed into a gown, the nurses wanted to start my IV and get everything goin she checks me and im at a 5, 90% effaced. Luckily since they had been so busy the anesthesiologist was already around so he came in and started my epidural at 2:35 . Laurie comes in to check me and break my water and I was a 7. I started to feel relief and then this weird slight pain I thought probably just a contraction but i asked the nurse she checks me again and I was a 10. She goes to get Laurie and comes back to say, bad news she is delivering another baby. But since I wasn't feeling much it wasn't too big of a deal. My mother was on her way up but hadn't gotten to the hospital yet, it was just Brett and I. Laurie comes in and says lets have a baby she was so excited and couldn't believe how fast things had gone. They called respiratory in JUST IN CASE our lil girl needed some help. I pushed once, Laurie massaged for a second I pushed again and out she came. The nurses were amazed at how easy this delivery went, with how crazy the hospital had been that day. All in all I think they delivered 10 babies that day. So out she came and cried looked normal and NOTHING was wrong with her all that worry for no reason. She was born at 3:55 amd then my mom arrived, she has just barely missed it. I was so blessed to have a good pregnancy and a fast delivery. Our family is now 4 and we are adjusting be loving it. Degan is the best BIG brother and he loves his sister.

Father's Day..

I don't know if Brett or my Dad will ever read this because they don't blog, but I wanted to tell them how special they are to me. I love them so much and am SO very grateful for all they do in my life and Degan's and already for SaDae (who still isn't here yet).
