Slacker

I have been slacking big time on my blogging responsibilities.. I have not even been that busy I'm always on the computer I just haven't uploaded and posted. So here we go lets play catch up..
We did the pumpkin patch around the first on October and that was way fun.. Degan wasn't sure what to think about it he didn't like to touch them. I really enjoyed it and we decided to make it a tradition so that's a fun thing.

Degan has learned to walk, he is still Frankenstein but its okay.. and everyday he gets better and better, Its so fun watching him learn and do it all on his own, I just don't want him to start running away from us that will not be fun. He had been standing up walking on furniture since he was about 7 or 8 mths so I thought he would of started walking sooner but that's just fine with us he is busy as it is. He just plays all day with his "titty" that's how he says kitty its so cute, they are just the best of friends, she is way nice to him I'm surprised.

Along with his walking he LOVES to push his fire truck around and stand on it to reach things, and he climbs on the stove I have never heard of this before, but Im so glad we have a lock on ours its so nice.

This past weekend we went to the Heritage Livestock festival, aka the sheep parade, I knew Degan would love to watch the parade and see all the sheep, he was so intrigued the whole time you could hardly get his attention. My mom came up so hang out and we had a lot of fun, watched the parade, then played some games, then went to the tractor pulls and walked around and then went to watch the sheep dogs.



Degan was kind of weird at the rest of it, he LOVES steering wheels and so we thought he would love to sit on some tractors but we were so wrong he cried and I have never seen him be so shy.
Yesterday was the first snow fall luckily we were in STG so I thought we missed it but boy was I wrong, we woke up to about 3 inches and so we went out to play in it but without the proper clothes we couldn't stay out too long.

Bedtime Habits

My sweet little boy has NEVER been a good sleeper, but I am told neither was I so its just payback. Well.. yes im guilty he has always slept with us, I nursed him so it was so easy and I HATE getting woken up at night so life was good baby slept and so did I. Well now that he is 9 mths old and tosses and turns in the bed Brett and I decided it was past time to get him in his own crib, that I made such a fuss about getting. I had him a on great schedule before Brett got home from his last detail on the New Harmony Fire, and then I went to Salt Lake with the fam and he WILL not sleep alone anymore. So after LOTS of sleepless nights and crying for HOURS ( no joke he cried for 4 hours one night) and time spent in the crib with him showing him it was ok and safe we had no such luck. We were both just so exhausted and fed up, weren't quite sure what to do, but we knew we had to be strong and ONE day it would pay off. Well for now we have decided he hates his crib, he is sleeping in his pack n play in our room but not our bed, two nights ago he cried for 40 min, the next night we stayed in StG a lil nervous if we would make progress but we did. Only screaming for 15 min and tonight he only cried for 5.. WOO WOO! now if we can just get him in his own room this story would be complete.
This picture was suppose to be of Brett and Degan in his crib but when I ran to get the camera Brett jumped out so this is just Degan with a huge smile and tears, because he wasn't alone. Man I love this kid, can you see why we had a hard time saying NO!

Soccer in SLC

Last weekend Nic had two games in Salt Lake @ Westminster so we us girls and Degan got in the car and went to watch. He did awesome this was our first time watching him play with his new team. Degan's first time ever watching his Uncle Nic play, Im not so sure he loved it but we had fun anyways, we always do.


Friday afternoon, they played and lost 3-1 and then saturday we went up to park city and did some shopping at the outlets.


Sunday he had another game they didn't do so hot that time, but oh well. Monday Adams state played Dixie. It was really neat for Nic to play some of his old team mates, he made the Spectrum so that was fun. They Tied but I think they would of won had it not been for a PK that they made. I am very glad we got to spend some time with him, just wished Brett wasn't working so he could of joined us.S

The bestest son...

All of August (pretty much) it was just Degan and I.. and then of course we would spend alot of time in St.George at my parents so we could play with our friends and not be so bored. I will be happy when fire season is over so Brett can come back to us. and maybe I'll get a little break.. here are some pictures from the past little while. I sure do love this little boy he does the funniest things.. and I am not ready for him to walk but im sure soon enough there will be a video of his first steps.. When we are at Grandma's we hardly wear clothes.. so this is my lil one showing off his muscles. His first oreo.. (this was all Tera's idea)



Degan has been watching the dogs going in and out of the doggie door so he decided that it was his turn to try. I dont know why I didn't put my camera on video mode, but here are still shots of him going thru.








He is learning SO much and so quickly its amazing.

1st Annual girls trip

So.. back in like May, my friends and I decided that we needed to get together and go away for the weekend, since we all have little kids we took them, and boy was that fun. It really wasn't that bad we had a good time and all the kiddos did really good. There were 6 of us ladies and 4 babies. We left friday afternoon and played went to dinner, and then tried to Shop on saturday but none of us were really in the shopping mood. Steph made us all a delicious dinner and then that night went on an adventure to Big Deluxe and watched Kristin get her tattoo. That was fun.. weird but fun. Wen out to breakfast sunday morning and then back home we went. A short but VERY fun trip. here are a few pictures of the occasion but I only got ones of Degan so I borrowed these from the other girls.

3 wonderful years

So it has been 3 years since Brett and I got married (well tomorrow). We have grown so much as people and as a couple. He has given me so many things I never thought were possible. I love him so much and I don't know if or when he will read this because he is on a fire and who knows when he will be home, but I love You SO much. I am so very blessed to have you as a husband and father to Degan and any other kids we will have. Our Journey began on New Years Eve 2005, we got engaged on May 14? I never can remember the exact date and then we got married on Aug 5th 2006, bought our first house on August 29th 2008, had our first son on December 19 2008. There are many many more wonderful things to come for us and even though we wont be together on our anniversary this year, I know you are always in my heart.
